Walmart has a good deal on an hp laptop tomorrow: http://www.walmart.com/catalog/produ...ct_id=12347 224
I was wondering people think I should sell my macbook and get this cheaper laptop?
Yeah, it's only tomorrow starting at 8AM and each store only has 10. I live in a rural area; not as many people go to the Walmart I go to. I like my mac, but that is such a good deal.

Well, $4.95 for a 50lb bag of manure might be a screaming deal, but if you don't need it ...
what confuses me is if a $300 laptop suits your needs, why did you get a macbook pro in the first place? and i don't mean that as an insult, i'm just curious as it seems like there's a large leap involved in going from a typical mac buyer mentality to an extreme bargain hunter. (i know some people enjoy both, but sounds like you're completely replacing one with the other)
Wow. A disposable laptop. I knew their day would come.
Seriously, Celeron CPU aside... those specs are unheard of for $300. Too bad it will fall apart after 6 months.

I agree with melman101 Avast is a really good anti-virus software for Windows and it is free. Secondly, Windows 7 is really good for a Windows OS, but it still doesn't compare to the brute force power that Snow Leopard has with it's advanced core technologies.
