Thread: Shooting reloads with Starline Nagant brass

Well, today I got to shoot my reloads that I made with new Starline Nagant brass (the real stuff, not the resized 32-20 brass). The load I used had a hard cast Hunter's Supply brand 115 grain .313" diameter flat point bullet (resized to .311") propelled by 9 grains of lil' gun with a CCI small pistol primer. What a hoot! Did the Lil'Gun burn completely for you? I like the power it gives but I think I need to take up some more space in my case to make it burn more efficient.

Yes, Russian. It did burn completely. The force it takes to push a .311" dia. 115 grain bullet , which is completely enclosed inside the casing, seems to generate enough pressure to completely burn the 9 grains of lil' gun. And I wish that propane grill tank was full, but it was already hanging on the target stand at the range and well used before I even got there. Oh well, it's still fun to ...

Yes, Russian. It did burn completely. The force it takes to push a .311" dia. 115 grain bullet , which is completely enclosed inside the casing, seems to generate enough pressure to completely burn the 9 grains of lil' gun. And I wish that propane grill tank was full, but it was already hanging on the target stand at the range and well used before I even got there. Oh well, it's still fun to make it dance!
