Started 2 months, 1 week ago by VersaceCrazy
Shea Butter & Jojoba Oil Mixed Today I purchased, from Whole Foods, some 100% Shea Butter and 100% Jojoba Oil for the first time. Now I'm trying to figure out the best way to use them for my hair. Believe it or not I've never really used any oils in my hair (which is probably why it's always so dry) and I was thinking about mixing the ...

I've heard people use shea to moisturize or seal. Same with jojoba. I didn't realize Whole Foods sold Shea...how much was it? I want to get some, but I think I may wait until I go to NYC next week...I am sure it's cheaper on the streets than in Whole Foods. I plan to use my shea butter in my oils mixture. And I will probably moisturize ...

Ditto on the sealing. Honestly, they're not all that moisturizing; their main use is sealing. My moisturizing condish is basically just oils, and some naturally moisturizing ingredients.. so I don't use extra oil to seal because my hair doesn't like it. __________________ Hair Type: 3b-3c ...

My hair is 3c/3b dry, porous, fine, thin. Jojoba on its own does nothing for me, I really have to use alot. Shea butter is too heavy and dries my hair out. I have used the KKB Cream and butter both contain mainly shea buter, its a no go for me. If you try to seal with them and find they don't work for you i would suggest grapeseed and ...

oops! I did mean KBB sorry. Coconut oil has low amounts of protein, all nut dreived oils will have some protien, my hair does not like protein, but it loves coconut oil and coconut milk, I really think it has to do with total blanced composition. Plus the only other protien I get is small amount in my rise conditioner. Everyones hair...

Then just melted the shea butter into my hands, added a few drops of the oil mixture to my hands, and then shingled it through my hair. I did two bantu knots (or buns) on damp hair secured with cotton scrunchies (to aid in drying), and pulled a scarf tight over just the front of my hair. Slept overnight and undid in the...
