I looked through the manual for a bit......searched the forum and can't find the answer. How do you change the V-Vocal editor.....and/or the PRV display to display the note in sharps or flats? I have a project in the key of Ab and can't seen to find a way to pick anything but G#??? Thanks for the help....
To me any improvement to the Loop Explore is very welcome. They already fixed my major gripe with it but a lot more could be done. This shows that CW is not backing off the evolution of Sonar.
musec07 bitflipper Sonar is more noob and old person friendly ...that whats "Joe" user likes to see, with lots of pretty colors and eye candy. Beside Rock & Country music, what other gere's use Session drummer ? Whoa, I can't let that one pass, my young Jedi. You've managed to insult noobs, old people, rock and country artists, ...
302 what I am getting from you is you are into appearance not substance. I am not thrilled about Twitter either but it has no impact on me. You can join in on it or not as you please. However worrying about how it looks to others is a sign of immaturity and shallowness. The other thing I find odd about your posts is that you call Sonar for older people but at the same time don't want the...
my opinion - from a distance, mind you - is that this may be an architectural bug rather than a coding bug. Sonar was born in a world where neither multithreading nor multiprocessing were really part of the platform it ran on, and I think that until there is something on the scale of a complete re-engineering of the product, these kinds of problems will occur. I have long held that ...
in front of the monitors, a Korg Mikro Control for basic simple stuff. Out of the RME midi port, a M-Audio Prokeys 88 for the more complicated (not that I ever get that complex)

ronboy I think Sonar is used more for game composers and home musicians than Movie and TV composers! Until I hear that Sonar was used on major movie and TV projects, and I mean movies that I would pay to see in the movie theater or a TV show that millions watch every week I would be convinced that Sonar is a standard. The friend that Brandon Ryan mentioned in regards to TV and ...
For what it's worth, this is not actually a MOTU midi driver issue, but rather a general issue with USB MIDI handling. I've found more than a few USB MIDI devices capable of actually ' gridlocking' SONAR's process. What you're running into here is likely a further showcasing of what this gridlocking can do.

RichardHK ... Sorry for the big type. Wish this forum editor could adjust font size. :) ... Isn't there a font size setting in your browser? There is in mine (Seamonkey: view->text zoom) and it works just fine on this forum. Bill B....
J.A. - I've taken your suggestion and dropped a letter to Mr. Naqvi. It hopefully shows both patience and diplomacy and I hope we might see a positive response from the good folk at PreSonus. Will let you know how it goes. Thanks for your tip.
Not sure if this is whats happening but I was having alot of strange problem like this, and alot of things would just come up missing. I found that somehow my hard disk was being compressed. If you go into your windows explorer and look at your cakewalk directories you should see the files listed in black lettering. If you see blue letters you might be having the same problem....
What about quick groups? Can't you use them for this too. All you would need do is write enable the things you want to automate. The automate one of the thingies.
Pretty much instantaneous change between Alphatrack and the screen in SONAR You can use an Alpha track rotary encoder to move between tracks and with a press of that same button go to busses. Don't need the mouse for much at all. Its an awesome unit. Some of the guys will tell you that its pointless because it donesn't have multiple faders but it is pretty effective and I often have 50 + tracks to scroll through and it works...
Hi Dave- I've got two Layouts that have the console stretched across two screens. That's when it would be convient not to have a particular track lie in the area of the split. I see your point. +1, then! I agree that some sort of splitter or filler makes sense if you're looking at vertical strips (like in the Console View). I see a similar effect (problem?) when I drag the Main Window to a 2nd display with only the TV visible....
glazfolk This is an increasingly competitive environment, and I believe that those companies that are willing to engage actively with, and show genuine respect for, their customer base are the ones who will survive and thrive. +1,000,000
Ah, yes, event inspector toolbar. Thanks! For the others, clicking on the note on the left-hand keyboard highlights ALL notes in the song, and I only wanna deal with a few. And, even then once they're selected there's no way to adjust global properties in the right-click menu. This toolbar will totally work. Thx man!
I had a similar problem last night. I had mixed down a set of drum tracks to .wav and none of my players would play it.I also converted it to .mp3. The file would load but it was just dead air for about 5 minutes either way(yes i checked muting).Sonar would play it just fine. So i reloaded the file into sonar and re exported it at the same bit rate/sample and for some reason it worked. Different problem, I think. Yours were the classic...
