Thread: Sharp pain in belly button

I get a sharp pain that goes from my belly button down every once in a while but its not all that often. I am 12 and 1/2 weeks as well.

I would ask your OB about it, but I would assume it's stretching. I get all kinds of weird pains all over. Right now I have a stabbing pain in my ankle.

There is an area of hardened muscle tissue around the navel that we all have from our own umbilibal cords since birth that doesn't like to stretch-I have had this also. It will come and go throughout your pregnancy. (I have had it will all of my pregnancies)-it is alarming, but harmless. If it becomes consistant and doesn't go away after changing activities-this might be of concern, but mention it to your dr. anyway just to be safe....

hi ladies i'm 12 and 1/2 weeks pregnant and im expecting twins and lately i've been getting like a sharp pain inside my belly button, do any of you have sharp pains or em i alone?
