Thread: Sesame Street is 40!

LOL. That Telly! I just had my sister groaning because I mentioned his name. Talking about him is making me want to go to Youtube just to see a clip of him!

Oh, and I think Ernie is a jerk. He's mean and always picks on Bert. I don't care that Bert is a geek but come on! Ernie is always on his case!

Sesame Street is great - I love Grover!

Today was Sesame Street's 40th birthday! I caught part of the show with Jackson and they had pretty much a typical show, except cameos from Michele Obama and Kermit the Frog. Gah, I love this show. When my kids start losing interest, I might keep recording it and watching it after they go to bed. Except the Elmo part of it. Barf! Did anyone else watch the 'special'? What are your childhood memories of Sesame Street?

I am sure I have said this before, but my kids have never seen Sesame Street. We didn't watch it. I remember watching it when I was little from time to time. I was always afraid I would look like Big Bird when I grew up because he was so tall and I was too.
