Thread: Servo Motor Error

Man! Servo motor error! It ain't gonna move. Barely moves home, will not move forward to print position. Tried greasing the screw and rails- no go. WTF?!!? It was printing couple days ago.

Try manually turning the screw till the machine is about half way up the base. Then turn the base on and try sending it Home.

Could be your power supply is going bad I have seen a few with this problem recently, you can get the information off the "Other" forum. Dan "HAPPY PRINTING"

When encountering the servo error there are a few things you can try ( though if the power supply failing is the problem this won't work.) Turn off printer and base. Carefully clean and lube the rails. Clean the screw drive from the very front all the way to the very back, and then lube generously especially where it connects at the front and at the back and printer. Turn base on and wait...

gx-24 gives motor error sometimes bad position though pinch roller are at correct position

Could be your power supply is going bad I have seen a few with this problem recently, you can get the information off the "Other" forum. Dan "HAPPY PRINTING"

Keeping the linear systems correctly lubed will insure that the fiction stays in spec. Thanks, Mark
