Started 3 months, 1 week ago by Jyotsna
Hi Mamas, It's September tomarrow, and we are moving into fall this month. That means we will be using our A/C less (depending on where you live) and the cooler days will be upon us by the end of the month. I'm joining you ladies this month. Honestly, I always hope it will get better. I have hope against hope in my heart. I try my hardest, and yet things aren't looking ...

I'm subbing too. I have some good news. My mom offered to give, yes give me the 600 to get at least one root canal done this month. SO I am so grateful for that. They are sending me the money next Monday. How sweet is that? That way I can at least get one of the two root canals done.

I am sorry I haven't posted on this thread yet, but am so happy that it has been so active! I just applied for my heating assistance and will send it in to the state tomorrow, but I went online to check to see when the deadline is for assistance, and in Vermont, I was supposed to have it in their hands by today. : crap, crap, crap, crap, crap....... It does say that I *should* receive 100% of...

The halloween costume swap is a great idea. I have kept all of the kids halloween costumes since the beginning of time, and I open up the box each year and basically let the kids choose their own components, and make their own idea, even if I don't like it. It makes a hugh difference in the cost of Halloween. Each year I spend a few dollars at the fabric store or dollar store, and they have ...

Pumpkin Pie--- I looked over the birks on ebay today, and including shipping, everything was close to 100 dollars except for the 90 cents birks, which I doubt will sell for 90 cents. I wear a shocking 41. I sometimes can wear a 40, depending on the style. I'll keep looking. Thanks for the fyi.

Anyone know how long they can keep for in the refridgerator once they are cooked?...

I just realized today is the last day of September ! It's kinda gray and cool today, but otherwise today is an alright day (so far) Gotta take DD1 back to the Dr today, to get the packing removed from her arm again. Hopefully, this will be one of the last times I have to do this (I hope :cross) Now, on to other subjects. I filled out an application on Thursday of last week and the guy told me he would "call me next...

Pumpkin Pie -- congrats on the job! And about storing cooked beans, if you do them up & let them cool you should be able to store them in baggies in the freezer for quite awhile. I'd just squeeze out all the air & mark what type & the date. Maybe do a test batch & see if you like the way they come out after being frozen? I've done this before & they were fine for us, but we don't eat them...

So, my working interview went great today, and I think I am really going to like working there. I found out that there is only a very slim chance of getting him into that preschool any time in the next year. Plus, I am having an insanely hard time figuring out how to get DS to me at my job, or me to him without one of us leaving at the wrong time from school/work. The woman I was going to hire to bring him home isn't going to work out,...

Still waiting to find out if we get approved for the charity for my husband's $15000 hospital bill. In the meantime, I'm making $10 per month payments to the other clinic that referred him to the hospital. My sister-in-law asked if I'd watch her 2 year old for a few weeks while she took a class in Anchorage and will pay me for it. I talked to her again yesterday and found out it will be for much longer than I had thought. 8:30...
