Thread: Sellers who refuse to combine shipping.

Started 1 month, 1 week ago by kilovoltampere
"In other words you are saying that if I fail to read every inch of every auction and get taken , then that's my problem and anyone else's who gets caught in the same situation." Do you trust people you've never met, enough to send them money in advance of receiving the product you're ordering? Think about how foolish it is to send money to someone you don't know in the hopes that ...

I stopped combine shipping because I could not afford to do so. I used to combine all of the time. If you have noticed paypal fees and ebay listing fees keep going up. You have to make a profit at the end of the day. So, I no longer combine shipping and if a seller has that policy, you have no right to complain about it. To put it simply, if you do not like it, do not buy from them. Also several ...

Pay for the items with Paypal-one at a time. The seller will be forced to pay more fees. Then insist that they be mailed individually. If they are not, leave bad feedback. Be careful, I was reported on the boards for suggesting the same thing....................... For this same post actually. Apparently someone thought that was against ebay rules, and whoever sanctioned ...

I have buyers that ask about combined shipping all the time. i only combine on items that end on the same day. i used to do 7 days but many buyers would forget to pay by then or keep wanting you to wait because they are interested in another one of your auctions. this turned into a big headache and i changed it to same day auctions only. I still get many that do not read the shipping details ...

I think the combined shipping issue with buyers is not as clay suggests, that buyers have to pay individually for individual boxes, I think the complaint is due to paying for (for instance) 6 S&H fees and getting one box. Buyers that want combined shipping are looking for sellers to pass on the discounted shipping rate. If your items are already packaged, why can't you put several of ...

I used to come to these boards a long time ago. Apparently not much has changed. It works like this: they charge me individual shipping, I get individual shipping. Obviously they are charging more than the actual shipping; some of the rate is handling and packaging. I want all my dunnage. Otherwise I will not pay for it. In this model, paypal gets more money. I would rather see paypal ...

I think the OP should be asking for discounted shipping.

This is a quite shameful attempt to exploit soldiers for one's own benefit. Once safe back home again, they are just as prone to expect their rights, on less vital things than staying alive, as the rest of us do. That's why the rights are there. Would you very much mind if we keep on expecting eBay sellers to abide by the policies they signed up to?

Also I believe you are mistakenly interchanging the words "Combined" and "Discounted" Here's the link that says what money the seller can end up with. It doesn't pretend to be an exhaustive guide to rip-off techniques.

how can somebody give out 25 NEGS and still shop on ebay? Guess that would depend on how long they have been on eBay, how many positives have they given? There are even some that never leave feedback, unless they had a problem and feel a negative feedback is warranted, but they never leave a positive feedback. So really, without knowing more, could not provide an informed answer to such a statement. And this has what to do with this thread?

Will all the buyers who think that sellers should combine shipping answer this 1 word question Why? If you purchase items from penny's sears or any other large E-tailers at different times of the day or over a period of 7 days so they combine and discount shipping?? They do not so why do you expect sellers on E-bay to be any different?. .

Point is that the OP admits to not reading the entire listing. Seller, under eBay rules, is not required to combine shipping nor offer discounts on shipping for multiple purchases. My father always told me to read the fine print before signing anything. That goes for placing electronic orders too.
