I won an item on Ebay for £100 recently, (Not exact figure) the item was worth more than double that new and the guy had a "buy it now for £200". The postage he quoted was for £20. It now looks as if he is deliberately trying to shake me off the sale by "confusing" the issue with a higher invoice bill for £220 (He is adding the net cost of the item on to the cost of the item instead of the ...

You contact ebay, and let them deal on your behalf. Do not send money until he has agreed under the terms of the auction to send you the product.

Can you not pay through standard eBay checkout, from your My eBay page? Why are you using the invoice he sends you?

Make sure you forward all messages(including your own) to your email address. eBay can't read your eBay account inbox.

I am thinking of just forgetting about it at this stage, if money passes it might just get awkward and messy. Any suggestions for a negative feedback line? I want to say something that holds water and won' be removed by Ebay.

Shame you can't follow it up more. isn't the seller legally obliged to sell it to you? Or have I missed out on something.

I think you should report it to ebay, it's not particularly difficult and will look better in any feedback you leave. It's not difficult, just fill out a form online, maybe include the text of a few emails and you're done.
