Wasn't really sure where to put this, because I don't think it's a legit rumor, just a one-off sentence. But Danny Gokey sure as hell isn't on my wish list, so I'm opting for here. Just say no to Gokey! The only relevant sentence in case you don't want to click: The 29-year-old former church music director says he'd like to try "Dancing With The Stars," because the "Idol" judges ...
Re: the new rule limiting rehearsal hours -- it sounds fine/doable during the 1-dance-a-week stage, but once the show goes into two dances per week mode, I think it's gonna be suicide in terms of dance quality. I like seeing incredible dances on the show, one of the reasons why I never objected to 'ringers' because they were often the ones I counted on to consistently deliver a good dance ...
The only thing I hope for in season 9 is that we see the return of the "3 injured". I really think it'll work great and be a greats story as well. All 3 have different partners. Misty had potential and Nancy was looked at as a frontrunner because she was given the pimp spot in the first show and Conrad stated she was very good. If they bring the 3 injured ladies back, they need to make this ...
Please, dear DWTS gods, no! I was so glad to get his obnoxious personality off my TV when he finally got voted off Idol and I don't need or want to ever see Gokey again.
Ugh no...I am guessing he was joking though. I can see the 'no fair' comments flailing now because of his fan base. I kind of like the new rule that limits the hours per day that the stars can work. I think it may lead to less impressive dancing for a longer period of time, but the show isn't really about that IMO. I think that its good for the pros too, they must get run down even though ...
I remember seeing a piece on whatever show Nancy O'Dell is on, it was referring to the number of injuries on the show. It was early in the season. Maybe week 2 or 3. Anyway, they interviewed Cheryl and Gilles. Cheryl said that she and her partner were only doing 4 hours a day- at that time. She said that she felt that more hours could lead to injury. I also remember around that time, Gilles ...
No!! I do not want any former AI people!! Especially one who is dating a current pro!! Its just not a good idea. As for the new rules, seems good to limit the hours. We shall see how it all works out.

I would like to see that as well. I am not sure though if Jewel would come back as I read somewhere she saw how tough it was on Ty but who knows. Misty had stated she wants to continue and she has been seen in LA lately so maybe! I wonder if TPTB are going to do another real-life couple again.

I'm so slow -- I just realized that Anna T. will be featured in both so-called dance-offs tomorrow, the one with Mark v. Chuck and the one with Jerry v. Michael. This can't be a coincidence on the producers' part, right? Heh.
Your right, Tango Lady . Donny confirmed he will be dancing the Cha Cha Cha on an interview with Ryan Seacrest. So the first dances tonight are: Mya/Dmitry: Paso Doble Donny/Kym: Cha Cha Cha Kelly/Louis: Argentine Tango
Wooh finally a pro dance on the finale and all my favorite pros!! Except no Karina or Derek but oh well!! Can't wait! Yep Mya is going to win the "Mega-Mix". Looking forward to the freestyles though, since this is Dmitry & Louis first time in the finales, minus Kym.
Well if the last round is their knockout dance, that's cool because it's a routine they don't have to learn from scratch. If i remember correctly, both of Mya and Kelly's knockout dances were the Cha Cha.
I don't think they always call the dances as they see them. I think they know the audience tallies and will use their scores to correspond to the fan favorite. Even if Mya is the best on this Megamix thing or the other two dances, all they have to do is attack the choreography (it can be too weird or it can be too dull) or they can find mistakes they normally let pass or they can say it didn't have enough...
Passthesalt, a hearty "no shit!" and "amen" to your whole post. On a show like DWTs, the problem is that more doesn't = more, more = sloppy, half-assed, messed up and dull. That's because learning how to execute a decent dance takes time. And for the audience to enjoy the dance, it needs a little time. This is just keep shoving shit at us nonstop, without really thinking about what the...
Interesting news form Melissa Rycroft. Fun news: be sure to watch Tuesday's DWTS...you just might see a familiar face back on the dance floor ;-) http://twitter.com/MelissaRycroft2/status/5669349109 Tony kinda hinted it about Tony and Melissa dancing together also. Of course Mya will win. She's like 10 points ahead of competition. She better not flunk the freestyle. Can't wait for next season. This post has been edited by TruBrit : Nov 22, 2009 @ 11:21 am.
