Thread: Save the Date and Holiday card in one...

Started 1 month, 1 week ago by northshore35
I'd like to send out holiday (Christmas) cards that also contain a save the date magnet and our wedding info. Is this trying to put too much into one card? Any ideas on how to do this? Our wedding is in June, so I'd like the STD to be springy- but not the holiday card. Thanks!

Some people think that if you send them together, your STD is likely to get lost/misplaced in the holiday shuffle, or that you should send separate envelopes because they are for separate events/occasions. I though, am all for saving on postage, and envelopes, so we are doing just that this year. We designed our STD's and printed them as a postcard through vistaprint (they have a pciture of us...

I would think with a magnet, people are much less likely to just toss it. Send them together and don't worry about whether or not they match. The Christmas card will get put up on the mantel or whatever and the magnet will get stuck to the fridge. No one will notice or care whether or not they match. November 13, 2010

I think this is a great idea. And I also really like the magnet idea for the STD. Bio, now with married pics...

Save yourself the trouble and send them together, I think like PP's said that a magnet is less likely to just get tossed.

I am so glad you asked this question because I was wanting to do the same thing but wasn't sure if it was acceptable.

My only hesitation is that you need to make sure you're addressing the holiday envelopes to only the people you want to come to the wedding. So if you aren't having kids, you can only address your cards to the adults.
