Update...I let a buddy take a look at it and he tinkered with it for a few minutes. He got it to work and said that all he did was push on the 3 copper colored spring contacts in and out a few times. I tried to do that earlier in teh day without success so I don't know what he did different but it worked.

Very weird. I have had this phone for a few months now. It has been great to me...
Last night I had not used it in a couple hours and I picked it up to send a txt to someone and when I pressed the buttons to wake it up it did not respond. So, I hit the power button on top thinking I must have locked the keypad and still, nothing. Ok...weird, hold the power button down longer, maybe the ...

Update 2: Phone worked for another week or so and then died again. I tried
pressing on the copper contacts but it didn't work. I'm not sure what the
deal is. I emailed Samsung about it and they wrote back said that I needed
to call their customer care department and do some troubleshooting over the
phone. I will post what happens.
