Thread: S-Class with 150k miles on clock?

Hi all. Got the opportunity to get myself a my2000 S320CDI in black with black leather, double glazing and airmatic pretty cheap, but its got 150k miles on the clock and Im not sure...ofcoarse I have NO idea if that really is alot This has been verified as the authentic mileage. Brand new airmatic pump, and the shocks have been fully rebuilt. No satnav, and some ...

Its going to be a big change going from a M5 to an S320cdi.... Why not a 430 or 500? Theres nothing *wrong* with high mileage W220 if theyre service has been kept up, but why not look for something a little younger? My '00 has 43k miles on it, that has over 3 times my mileage. Yikes

The M5 will be garaged for the winter while I use something else for the winter months here in Europe. Even in the summer I'd rather take the S to work, a S320cdi uses 4times less fuel than my M5, and performance doesnt matter when you are crawling in traffic

My 740il has 169k on it and I have found that as the miles pile up you have to replace the cooling system parts, AC, and brakes. I say go for it at a good price because most of what I have described should have already been replaced once on the car you want. And 150k miles is nothing for these cars. They flip the odometer in mercs and bmw's all over the world except the US. We tend to buy ...
