Started 1 month, 3 weeks ago by 380560
The booster has stopped working, I have checked the fuses under the bonnet and all are OK, I have pressed all heater control buttons and temp controls and still nothing. I recently removed and replaced the radio would/ could that effected anything? Can anyone help please??

Changing the radio would only affect it if a plug or wire is loose on the rear of the heater control box, but hardly likely to be that. The carbon brushes could be worn out 251 in the link http://www.detali.ru/cat/oem_mb2.asp...SGR=045&SGN =01

The black on is a S73 V12 with the Coupe front end conversion, well its not a conversion becuase the Coupe and Saloon W140 front ends can be swapped. jib

thanks to you all................so it could be the brushes which are worn, where are they and are they easy to to get to. I see you have advised 251 are these the brushes and is the number on the attached the MB part number?

television replied 1 month, 3 weeks ago
251 is the actual motor,, I may be able to print off the instructions for getting it out. Ou can get brushes from tool shops etc that repair small electric hand tools I will post back

I have just had the daily post up here on Skye and the postie handed me a parcel which contained my new regulator. After about 15mins it was fitted. I reconnected the battery and with baited breath I turned on the ignition......... I was greeted with a boost of air which nearly pushed me through the back window!!!!!!!!!!SUCCESS. Many thanks to EVERYONE for your help and knowledge. The total cost was just £59.99 + £2.95 p&p for a NEW...

I had the same problem with my W140 1993 It turned out to be the resistor/regulator which is mounted above the blower motor on the left under the bonnet
