Thread: SHOUTcast inoperable by Remote Control

Started 3 months, 1 week ago by tdnuerf
I've uninstalled and reinstalled the SHOUTcast app, but continue to get "Error: no items in playlist" whenever drilling down to find a station. This only happens via MSB's Remote Control -- my SBC and Boom both run SHOUTcast fine. Anyone else see this?

I can confirm that exact behaviour. On SBC it works fine although it has been confused about locale. I've had Polish, English and Italian as menu language in the SHOUTcast application, but just this morning it finally got it right (Swedish). Guess I'll have to wait and see if it stays fixed.

Having same problem with Shoutcast. The mysqueezebox.com Remote Control comes up with "Error: No items found in playlist" when any submenu item under the Shoutcast app is drilled down to the next sublevel. The search feature also has the same error message. By contrast, iPeng running on my iPod Touch is able to handle Shoutcast submenus fine. Please to slim devices Logitech: Please ...

Still not fixed. You know, believe it or not, most people use their squeezebox without a local server and only play internet music. That being the case, I am sure there are a lot of people patiently waiting for these bugs to be worked out with the new software remote player. Please fix the new software player. The hardware remote works of course but the software remote has still got ...

I agree. It is also substantially reducing my enjoyment of my Rhapsody subscription, which is a service we have to pay for. It seems that fixing the Rhapsody/software remote issue would (and should) be a top priority due to the fact that it is a paid service. Here is the link for the bug report for that, if you are having the problem with Rhapsody: https://bugs.slimdevices.com/show_bug....

Although the history of the squeezebox is that of a local music server, the current demographic of its customers I am willing to venture, is most heavily weighted towards those who have no local server for their own music and ONLY use their squeezebox as an internet radio player. That being the case, fixing the mysqueezebox.com remote it seems should be a higher priority than continued ...

what is ironic is that the ipeng app for the iphone and ipod touch works with the new menu structure even though it has not had an update since the mysqueezebox.com debut. the existing ipeng app is versatile and smart enough to automatically reflect the new menu structure of mysqueezebox.com. Since ipeng could do it automatically, maybe logitech should hire ipeng himself to help logitech ...

Annoying, as it is simpler and more straightforward to add stations via the computer. I, as you, reinstalled...
