Thread: SBU Brake Lines

How many feet of brake line are needed to completely redo the brake system on a 1300L? I searched and did not find the answer. So I guessed. Now having finished the redo if the lines I know: 49'11". SO that means you can order 50' of brake line, and get it all done (but don't screw up!) I matched the factory routing as well as I could, you could do it with less if you were less fancy ...

The Flaring tool is made in England. There are updated versions available in England, but I have not found them in the USA as yet. I stopped looking a while ago, so things might have changed. The "007" is the same basic tool, but the new ones have additional features.The newer tool is the one shown in the box.The difference is that the head will carry multiple dies , so changing from one ...

Not that I have to replace the brake lines in my Mog, but I find this info pretty valuable. Thanks for sharing.

Charles - is that stuff easy to flare? The factory stuff is easy to mess up, especially for a klutz like me.
