http://movies.yahoo.com/mv/news/va/20080222/120367 128200.html July 10, 2009 The script blends the idea of the Mayan calendar, which predicts the world ending in 2012, with natural disasters such as volcanic eruptions, typhoons and glaciers plaguing the planet and a large cast of characters dealing with the mayhem. _________________ Never ASSUME

Sounds like a return to form for Emmerich after the atrocity that will be 10,000BC. _________________ (\__/) (='.'=) (")_(")

Sounds like a remake of Day after tomorrow.

sounds like a sequel to the day after tomarrow, he needs to do something original, and 10000 BC doesnt sound nearly as good as his last films _________________ RIP HEATH LEDGER ROUND 6 OF WORST SUPERHERO MOVIE IS NOW OPEN IN THE 'A FEW OF MY FAVORITE THINGS' FORUM...VOTE NOW!!!

The Mayan calendar doesn't signify the end of the world, it signifies the end of a cycle. It's just like 'global warming'...if you repeat a fallacy enough times, it becomes fact. _________________ ** Most anticipated ( 08 ) ** Indy4 Dark Knight X-Files 2 Iron Man Hellboy 2 Narnia 2 The Happening

75/190, 550M WW, basically TDAT numbers. Oh I heard the budget is 200M as well. _________________ (\__/) (='.'=) (")_(")

Coolio. I like this disaster concept, the overflowing power of nature and the eradication of minuscule human beings. This can at least do TDAT number. _________________ Best of 2007 so far: 1. 3:10 to Yuma 2. There Will Be Blood 3. American Gangster 4. No Country for Old Men 5. Sweeney Todd 6. Hairspray 7. Yeah looking at the fact it will out perform all the markets of TDAT you can easily see 420 million, add in really over performing markets like China and Russia and such I think we shall see 500 million overseas. Plus I think the film likley keep getting decent grosses till X-Mas

Kal, just because we PREDICT it will do something, doesn't mean we think we are EXPERTS. I think about a 50% drop for 2012. Oh and pelikula Shawn's saying he's not that far off with his OW prediction for 2012 (72m) and you're saying that it disappointed him with it's OW. He's NOT a fan boy, me, DJM and DR. A at least were, but Shawn, no, he was slightly over the OW of 2012 and he's in a slump now, he's...

Bet postted to SHawn. As he is saying NM may beat the Juggernaut domestically. Loser gets a 20.00 Visa debit card. I await Shawns reply. Juggernaut 1218 must beat NM by at least 30M domestically for the Kal to win. _________________ " AVATAR-- I BELIEVE!!! 444M Domestic--1.1B WW!" "They can be a great people, Kal-El. They wish to be. And with regards to Avatar, Peter Bart says in his column in Variety that the budget could have been 300mil or 400mil, depending on how you calculate it. And he deplores the whole studio tactic of relying on big budget tentpoles. It's a stupid business strategy, and it shortchanges filmgoers. http://www.variety.com/article/VR1118011863.html?categoryID=1&cs=1 It's not much less true of 2012.

Its OS performance is without a doubt far more interesting than its domestic one. Already at $340M+ OS!!! _________________ Free your mind - The Matrix Reloaded Introduce a little anarchy - The Dark Knight Life will find a way - Jurassic Park Make each day count - Titanic
