Thread: Road to a 1000lb squat

Started 7 months ago by HLMSABJR
715x2 really easy. 825 at 258 in Single ply Inzer TRX with no briefs yet. Bar wouldn't stand any more. Only used the suit 3-4 times and still learning it. Comments welcome!(when you see me rush to the rack, its because the bar cracked lol)

LOL - that bar's fubared now... As for the squat - it seems high, but the angle is not the best. Keep pushing your knees out. In a suit, it's going to have to be exaggerated since it's fighting you. Good work - 825 walked out is nuts.

Thanks for the encouragement! That fuels my fire for lifting!!. I am working on the depth issue as I think it was a tad high. You guys are my motivation for hitting it harder!!

Thanks young gun! It was a little freaky at first walking out with it but no problem afterwards. Plate weight on the bar was 825 but our 100s are heavy and it was right at 855 so I was more ecstatic to learn that!

So a little update on my journey to a drug free single ply 1000lb squat. I have to date (Monday September 21st 2009) hit 775 raw VERY easy at 251. I was going to go for 850 or so but decided to call it quits for the day since thatwas a very big PR for my raw squat. I have this belief that if I stop and keep wondering, I will get it next workout. Just makes you hungry for more. Im going for well ...

Congrats! Thats +40lbs gain in 1 week. What do you think you need to hit raw in order to translate to 1000 in your suit?
