I just remembered this from a long time ago. I was deadlifting, and some kid came up to me, about 17 years old. He said, "I don't deadlift because I don't want to become sterile. Aren't you worried about that?"

I am not sure I have been told anything ridiculous just the usual "Don't arch your back while benching" and "Don't squat below parallel cuz its back for your knees"
I will ponder on this and see if anything else comes to mind.

That there are no muscles in the back to support conventional deadlifts so I should only do sumo. He was pretty big too, and the owner of the Gold's I was lifting in. This was several years ago and I was just starting out, but I still was dumbfounded.
