Thread: Removed front grill and painted black

I went to my local auto collision center to have an estimate of painting the front grill just like 2009 R350 without the chrome pieces. The guy told me $150.00 because the front bumper has to be removed to get to the front grill. (He got to be kidding) I then bought a can of plastic gross black paint and a can of plastic clear coat at pepboys for less than $14.00 versus $150.00. I came ...

Did you do any prep on the pieces or just clean them and spray it on? I'm going to do something similar as mine is black too

If the body shop charge with a reasonable price, I would have it painted. ...

Do you have the before pix. Can you post side to side to compare? I just forget what it looked like before. I love the new look though. Looks like mine...

Hey Asian, what kind of bottom grill do you have? I don't have fogs so mine looks totally different, did you do something there too?
