Thread: Reinstall user information to a new hard drive.

The boot sector on my hard drive failed.  I replaced the hard drive and reinstalled Vista.  I can still access the original 'Users' directory on the old machine.  There is no other backup How do I transfer all the user information to the new hard drive? 1 person needs an answer I do too

Copy the contents of each folder in C:\Users\<your user name> on the old drive to the corresponding folder on the new drive.

Copy the contents of each folder in C:\Users\&lt;your user name&gt; on the old drive to the corresponding folder on the new drive.
