Thread: [Rec] -- (2007)

This is a thoroughly adsorbing film which manages to take a simple, common horror story and execute it through a very pragmatic and daunting way. It's very atmospheric and all of the performances were very compelling, in addition, the camera work presented feels like the viewers know and see exactly as the characters do which can feel more relatable in a sense. There is no irony, absurdity or ...

The last 5 mins are just amazing, up with the best of all time

The 5 mins are the scariest as well, although I thought the whole was very scary and well done. 'John Connor said to let you go.....I'm not John Connor'

[REC] is awesome. I can't wait for the sequel to come out next year!!!

I don't know whether this is the films fault, but when I do see movies that use this "shaky-hand" idea, I often start to feel dizzy and giddy It's your brain's fault It disappoints me that some great "shaky cam" flicks are ruined for people purely by this factor alone. Not their fault directly, but not the film's fault either. I rate [REC] 9/10, one of the best of the decade along ...

I rate [REC] 9/10, one of the best of the decade along with Inside As I said, I don't really blame the film but for some strange reason I feel really giddy when I watch a movie with the "shaky cam" concept. One of the best horrors of the decade for me - 8/10 Last Film Seen; Noroi: The Curse (KxF4;ji Shiraishi, 2005) 8.5/10

I think it's one of the best horror movies of the deacde. The sequel is great too, I watched it twice at theaters. Pretty scary too. My Spanish Fan-Made Movies: http://shammyers33.blogspot.com/

personally think Quarantine is better--it's almost the same exact film, but adds a handful of nuances that raise the bar even more. And Jennifer Carpenter portrays how someone would REALLY act under those circumstances. --Daniel W. Kelly, author, "Closet Monsters: Zombied Out and Tales of Gothrotica"

my overall gratification would be much more appreciative seeing that the film is very fresh and vigorous. Exactly. I had similar problem with "The Blair Witch Project", too. The motion sickness factor is generally the main complaint about TBWP (that and "they scream at each too much" or "you don't see any witches!"). I saw this at a cinema back in '99 and I was totally ...

I am the opposite. I thought REC was better even thought they are basically the same movie. I like the angle that REC takes at the end better than the one in Quarantine. Pokerize 'em!

Yeah it could definitely have been finished better, although I'll have to watch it myself to judge fully. The Jersey Devil is a subject I'm interested in, potentially creepy film-premise for sure. UNCOMPROMISING UNDERGROUND FILTH

Is terrible in theory because The ending takes you off from the documentary form the film had up until the there and suddendly you are in a normal MRI film. So any sense of realism the film tried to achive up to that point is destroyed... Terrible idea to close the film like that, I guess that before Blair Witch they didnt have a clue on how do finish those kind of films. "I think there is a difference between a work of art and an...

I thought it was an excellent film, I can't wait to see [REC 2] "Take his gag out. It's more fun with the screaming."- House of 1000 Corpses
