Ok so I have this rebuilt F engine that sat for a looong time.. The guy I bought it from was getting rid of his sons unfinished project because he went to prison. (came with a fj55 body) It had sat for about 4 years in a garage. I put it in a shed for 3 years and and then I finaly needed it. First thing I found out was it had no rocker arm asy. i would def replace the rear main seal just to be safe. is the motor already in the truck? pull off the oil pan and take off the rear main cap and put in your new seal, put a thin layer of sealant on the seal. torque back to spec your main cap. and if you dont have the one piece Toyota oil pan gasket, GET ONE. there absolutely the best. 25 bucks from toyota. grab some permatex #3 (the red goopy kind in a can with brush) and put some on each...
