I'm re-reading "The Giver". Has anybody read a book called "The Celestine Prophecy"? This is an awesome book.

I finished the Deathly Hallows maybe 5 weeks ago. Probably my choice for 2nd best in the series (The Prisoner of Azkaban, which drew me into the franchise, is still my favorite). RIP, Paul.

I just finished reading Everything Is Illuminated , and I wanted to throw this book, at a wall, hard. It was really sad and it never really got happy again. It confused my sense of literature. Stupid postmodernism. To Paul.

I just got finished reading Star Wars: Legacy of the Force: Inferno. Best book in the series so far. The fight between Luke Skywalker and Darth Caedus was freakin' awesome!! Broken bones, lightsaber scorches - you name it. Instant classic!!

I'm reading "Lillith's Brood" by Octavia Butler. It's a compilation of a 3 book series (Dawn, Adulthood Rites, and Imago) that details (fictionally of course) what happens when humanocide is attempted in a full scale nuclear war. That bit is actually just the background information as to why everyone on earth has been abducted by aliens, the survivors anyway. Like most of her, I am amazed by ...

Just wrapped up "Timeline" by Michael Crichton. I absolutely loved it, it has to be one of my all time favorite books. It pretty much reads like a movie, and just has a great story throughout. I just bought another Crichton book that I never got around to reading, "Sphere". I'll start that soon, probably sometime tomorrow.

Love In The Time of Cholera, by Gabriel Garcia Marquez. It might be one of my favorite books ever; go buy it and read it if you haven't.

I finished From Hell by Alan Moore on the way back from New York. Creepy as hell, and really well written. I'm still convinced that Alan Moore can do no wrong. Currently reading The Dharma Bums by Jack Kerouac to familiarize myself with the Beatniks.

I just finished Inherent Vice by Thomas Pynchon. Funny, sexy, hilarious, messed up and deep all at the same time. Overall a very, very good read. I super highly recommend it.

If you knew anything about the book before reading it you wouldn't expect there to be a lot of action.   Dav is Dav ^_^

I just finished Mass Effect: Revelation. It's a prequel to the game. It's a pretty good read. As good a read as video game novels can get, anyway. If you're not a fan of the game, you obviously won't like it. But, for those of you who are, it gives Lt. Anderson more background, and you get a view into Saren before he found (and, well, how he found) Sovereign. They tried to throw in a potential love story. It didn't...

It sort of picked up towards the end, but it still was nowhere near something I'd call a great work. Unsatisfying in every sense of the word. Bingo Exactly how I felt about it. Once the missionaries came onto the scene, things got slightly interesting, but overall, the book was terrible....

I had been reading Cold Fire by Dean Koontz for like the past month, I just couldn't get into it and I finally finished on Friday. It had a really abrupt ending that just ended everything in like 3 pages. I didn't care for the whole book that much, but the ending really cinched it.   I started A Simple Plan by Scott Smith Friday also. I had seen the movie, directed by Sam Raimi, a few years ago and really liked it so I thought...

Off the top of my head I would recommend either Intensity, The Watchers, or Twilight Eyes by Dean Koontz.

After Dark by Haruki Murakami I had heard that he was a very bizarre writer, but this was (for the most part) very straightforward. It reminded me of all of those cool movies I'd stumble upon watching IFC. ...moving on to Player Piano next.   HUZZAH!? Vote for Silent Hill 2 in The 2 nd Annual Tournament of Video Games.

D-Day by Martin Glibert   It's a very short book and it's really boring. I gotta finish it though so I can write a stupid paper.
