Thread: Raw images.

Started 5 months ago by Paul Bloomer
I am having problems with having Raw files recognised when downloading from a CF card reader. Two cameras used Nikon D70 and Fuji S5 Pro. I use Photoshop CS2. and/or Nikon Picture Project. I have to store the large images on my hard drive, as they will not transfer onto a CD disc. Any ideas what I am missing??

If the D70 is listed it ought to download the images. Have you tried a different card reader, cable or USB port? Is your computer 'seeing' the card reader in My Computer? Your other issue with storing files is best cured by using DVDs and/or an external hard drive (or two, or three...). Most people use both as no one media is 100% reliable at the moment. DVDs only cost about 20p ...

Hello ............Thanks to all who gave suggestions to my problem, which has now resolved itself. The computer tower had been away for repair/ replacement of a faulty CD drive. The technician (bless him) had replaced the CD drive with a DVD drive. That was the problem. I was putting CD's into the tray. Now that I am putting DVD's into the tray, no problem. I had forgotten that I had aired my ...

Good news Paul - pleased it is resolved. You would think that the technician would have told you that the drive had been replaced!
