Thread to throw something out there. I'm selfishly asking for something to download and CD store or pawn shop when it becomes possible again. Just list a band and go on. Anything goes. Dinosaur Jr.

As far as Dinosaur Jr goes, did you hear their 2007 "reunion" album, Beyond ? Unlike so many reunion albums, this one doesn't suck, in fact it was one of the best albums released in 2007. If you haven't heard it, then it's a natural progression from the four albums I posted above.

I'm still listening to Tool's 10,000 Days album (released in 2006). The long songs are my favorites ( 10,000 Days Pt II (Wings for Marie) , Rosetta Stoned and Right in two ) but it's advisable to listen to the whole thing. If there's a Metal band that's put out better albums than Lateralus and 10,000 Days this decade then I need to hear about it pronto.
