Thread: Random Access Memory Reported As Being Low

I purchacsed my Dell Dimension 8200 Windows XP Home Edition in the year 2005. It came from the factory equipped with an 80 gigabyte harddrive and 256 megabyte RAM. I have since upgraded to 120 gigabyte harddrive and 512 megabyte RAM. I am now being informed that I need to upgrade my RAM because it is LOW. How much RAM is my computer capable of using and what grade of RAM is recommended? Thanks ...

  You are off topic for the forum you posted to, which is dedicated to Microsoft Security Esentials Beta   You may want to try the Microsoft Public newsgroups here: http://www.microsoft.com/communities/newsgroups/list/en-us/default.aspx A better path for this information, however, would be to contact Dell. http://support.dell.com should have all the information you desire on your system using the service tag.   -steve
