I found out today that one of my parent's employees was on the bus that hit the kid. He said that everyone on the bus saw the kid and were screaming at the bus driver, but she continued to cross the bike lane into the bus stop pullout. I've been through three extremely close calls with death and trust me, you don't really have time to get scared. I bet by the time he even realized something was happening it was only a matter of a few short seconds before he was killed.
