Started 1 month, 2 weeks ago by Ridgerunr

When you clicked the link next time it would open full size. Well guess what? with IE8 no luck. Tried it many times and no luck. Looked for answer all over the net with no luck. Anyone know a tweak ...

In all versions - if you HOLD the CTRL while dragging the window to the size you want and still HOLDing the CTRL key - do File EXIT...Should help Windows remember the size.

Ridgerunr--This is the way I set IE windows to open in the size and location I want. However I do not use IE8, so maybe things have changed. Open an IE window (mother window). Now open a second IE window as a New Window (child window). Using the edges and corners of the child window, drag to size and location as you want it. Now close the mother window. Now close the child window. ...

On the window that comes up, on the "run" dropdown list, you change it from the default "normal Window" to "maximize" ...

Ridgerunr-- Quote: you change it from the default "normal Window" to "maximize" then 'apply/ok' out. Then you open the net and do the drag with arrows to full size Unless IE8 is again different, a Maximized IE window cannot be moved or have its dimensions changed. Maximized windows show one squared superimposed on top of another in the little ico ...

Didn't explain it well enough Jim. After you do the normal to max size on the menu's. When you click a link on a web site, you will probably get a small window. If you then do the stretch it out thing and close with the 'X'/Ctrl key. When you click it again it will open to the size you stretched it to. No, it is still not a 'maximized' window per se,and the size box next to the minimize and 'X' box only...
