This is a GREAT day in film history. Tragedy was averted. And Spielberg saves face and can focus on what he CAN do, Will Smith as well.

The Smith/Spielberg remake isn't actually the first announced remake of the film; Justin Lin tried to remake it a few years back and that fell through as well. Good, now lets hope no one else tries to remake it. The Smith/Spielberg remake isn't actually the first announced remake of the film; Justin Lin tried to remake it a few years back and that fell through as well.
