When I click the "Quote" button at the bottom of a post I wish to answer, every quote inside the quoted post disappears from the window that opens to write my own post. Is there anything SIMPLE I can do to keep the quotes displayed in the quoted post ?
(Sorry for those who don't like the word "quote" : just 8 times!)

I know the problem, Mauricet ~ it's a nuisance, isn't it?
I don't know of any simple way round it, unfortunately
Hello,
If you take a look at this list of tutorials, you'll see that the first 3 links of the list are about quoting
PLEASE READ: Forum features - FAQ, search, accented letters, sundry tweaking and questions you never ask although you should
One of the three links in the thread cited by Paulfromitaly mentions this. It explains that
you have to copy and paste the quoted portion manually, and surround it with "quote tags". That's not simple, nor especially difficult.
In the next post, I will quote ewie's post above, and show how to include the quote ewie has of a part of post #1.

That's what I was afraid of: not simple enough (the paste-and-copy stuff) for the poor IT-illiterate I am. One thing I understood is to use the "multi-quote" button, I'll be content with that. MANY THANKS !
