Thread: Question for those with GHSV-1

Started 1 month, 1 week ago by artgirl87
Ok so this is really random, but I just want to satisfy my own curiosity. I remember when I was doing all this research in the "oh god I think I have it" stage, reading that gential HSV-1 isn't a big deal. Everything I read said that a person who gets hsv-1 genitally won't have reocurring outbreaks because its not the location that hsv "likes" to be in. I also read a lot of stuff that its ...

For me, I have GHSV1 and I have reoccurring outbreaks. They are not every week, but I get them every 3-4 months, depending on my stress level. I have been getting at this frequency ever since I was infected two years ago. I do not always have an outbreak with sores, I sometimes have the "paper cut"-like outbreak (there is another thread about this). It would be very hard for me to say that I ...

I have had this for over 20 years after an absoloutely awful case of the chicken pox. I have gotten about 3 of 4 in my lifetime and I avoid them like the plague. They hurt so baaaaaad! I have found abreva as I had a cold sore this year but the thing about abreva is you must start as soon as you feel the heat that is how I can tell then after the heat the itch and I start from the first moment and...

I have GHSV-1 and it sucks! I would definitely NOT feel comfortable not telling a partner about this and there is no way in hell I believe that I couldn't transmit it to someone elses genitals. I have had pretty frequent OBs since being diagnosed in April, Ive had about 5 or 6. The OBs do seem a lot less severe then HSV-2 OBs. I usually get tiny cut like sores and microscopic clusters of ...

I haven't had to be in that situation yet. but as far as i know i got ghsv-1 by someone who had ghsv1. so i'm not sure where you heard that fact but as far as i know and what i've been told from my doctor is that you can still spread hsv1 from your genital, to someone elss genital. my partners claim to have never had a coldsore (only one has gone down on me and i never saw a coldsore or anything ...

I think that I have had 2 outbreaks since I got in February. The first one that I saw was a very small ulcer, the second one was paper cut like and in the same area. These outbreaks don't hurt, they just itch. I would most definitely tell my partner even though it isn't quite as contagious in that area. I have it on my face too and I worry about it a lot so telling the other person seems ...

Hi, I was diagnosed with hsv 1 and I have only had 3 outbreaks in 3 years. The last two being very mild. However, this last time, I did get nerve damage and was in such excruciating pain. I went to the dr. and he said I now have neuropathy so anytime I get an outbreak it could be really painful on the nerves. Thank goodness the outbreak and pain has gone away, but I am so angry with the dr. ...
