Thread: Question about visit visa please

Started 2 months, 1 week ago by karim
Hi I am 23 and have not worked in months since my family has part ownership in a company . Can I apply for a visit visa just to see my grandparents and check out universities there or does it have to be so complicated ?

What is complicated? You can apply for a visa. Just that your youth and your unemployment might go against you. I don't know if checking out universities is a valid enough reason; most people get enrolled first and then apply for student visas.

It's not your nationality but your age and status. They're very likely to see you as a potential immigrant since you hardly have enough ties to your country. There's no harm in trying for a visa, though. Have your grandparents send a letter of invitation. It's best to be honest with the VO; if you plan to visit universities, be sure you have a clear plan of what you plan to study, what ...

You really think that with 2 rejections under your belt, you can just walk into the consulate empty handed and get a visa?? With your brother, it could have been a combination of luck and his previous visit record that got him his second visa...only the VO can tell you the real reason. In my opinion, if you really do want to go to the US, gather your paperwork, think think think about ...

If we go prepared they say we,re liars cuz we,re trying too hard and if we,re empty handed they say we,re liars cuz we have no documents ....so i dont really know maybe i should just go and try and my luck again

I'd still suggest you go prepared. They may reject your visa for being a possible immigrant but nobody has any business calling you a liar. Good luck!
