Thread: Queation about U2410 - white glow, panel coating, slow wakeup after...

Hey guys and girls,
I've bought the U2410 monitor a week ago, and have read different things about it (good and bad.)
One of the problems I have on my screen, is "white glow" problem in all four
corners. To my understanding, it's not a backlight bleed thing, but a general problem with newer IPS screens. Is this white glow problem present in all U2410 displays, as I've seen examples in ...
I'm posting again. I previously ordered ink through Dell for a printer that I recently purchased and shipped to University with my kid. The printer ink is not available at the local Wal-Mart and there is no other store within an 1.4 hours of the school. So, I ordered and Dell canceled because I had a PO Box for the address, I violation of the US Patriot Act. Dell said they needed a "physical ...
Sorry you didn't like the possible solutions provided, but none of us here can do anything other than provide you with some alternatives, as Dell will not ship it to a PO Box.
Taken from Dell's online Shipping Policy:
"Ship-To Prohibitions: Please be informed that your designated ship to address must reflect the address of the ultimate end-user. Dell will not process any order which ...
You must not have read completely what I wrote. There is no Staples within an hour of the campus. Wal-Mart does not have the ink. Furthermore, this is not a US POST OFFICE BOX, which is forbidden through the US Patriot Act. Dell resolution specialist suggest that I put the word "box" after University. So tell me, who exactly is being ignorant. Furthermore, WHY should I pay for shipping ...
I did read your post. Apparently you did not read Dell's policy. It simply says they do not ship to a PO Box. They do not discriminate about the type of PO Box. Sorry you don't like it. Patriot Act or not, that is there policy.
"Office Depot, Staples, Lowes and even Wal-Mart mail to the above issue."
So, order from Staples and have them ship it to her.... Sorry, I don't see any reason ...
The reseller I bought the (standalone monitor) 2209WA from sent me the order number and his zip code after I told him I needed to RMA the monitor. It took a few calls to Dell to get a case number and figure out what I was missing: they claim that in order to transfer the warranty to my name (which I need to get the replacement?), I need to verify the original purchaser's (the reseller's) name or...
Here is the official Dell Monitor warranty policy. See if you can get a supervisor and refer him to this document...

Good luck.
My father has a model 1905FP monitor that is out of warranty. The On/Off switch is broken, but otherwise the monitor functions without problem or fault. As a matter of fact, the pressure switch on the circuit board functions perfectly too, but the little plastic button that is welded to the monitor frame has broken at the hinge.
Can I order a replacement frame, and if so where?
What ...
My ViewSonic flat panel monitor has started to make constant noise. It's like a buzzing static kind of sound. It's only about 3 1/2 years old. Anyone else have this problem? Any ideas?
I had this problem with a Dell 3130CN attached by USB getting the 016-720 PDL Request Data Violation error. Swapping the relatively thin USB cable I was using for a different one (this one was much thicker) and the printing went fine.
So it could be that your USB cable is picking up interference - try swapping it (or using the Ethernet port instead).
Cheers,
Richard.
Itsdana, Since you didn't give very much information, like the make and model of your computer and operating system. You also didn't tell us the make and model of your printer and how you're trying to connect it to your computer. I think you'll find valuable information at... Welcome! Information about Dell's Inkjet, All-In-One Printers If this is a laser printer,...
When I ordered the ST2410 monitor I was told that the NeoFlex (DELL #A0665176) is compatible. * I do not see how you can expose the 4 vesa screw holes without removing the back cover. If so, then why does the manual even talk about wall mount an VESA mount considerations? * I have asked them that very question.
I'm just asking, as I can't find it on the Danish Dell site anymore? Hmm... I've had two 2408 units to try, both having bad uneven strange panel light asymmetry , where the left side was much brighter than the right side that were normal. Now I'm waiting for a third unit to try. I said, that I didn't wan't another 2408 from the same collection as the other two I got, as it probably would have the same panel...
So, are you saying that you: Have exactly the same model printer at work ?, and, The SAME model at your work prints the way you want it too? If both these points are True, then what are the differences in the PC's video system between your home PC and work PC? Unless you have the exact same video systems in each, you're comparing apples and oranges. Realizing the portability of the 3100 printer is not that great, one quick way to...
Hi you need a VGA Switch box, is a little box with 2 inputs and 1 output, you permanently attach Xbox, the output from your Wii/vga converter box and your monitor to it and then through a simple manual switch you select which source you want to send to the Monitor. Google it! VGA SWITCH BOX. Or the other solution is to buy a monitor like the U2410 which has several types of inputs.
Moefman: I do a little bit of everything. But mostly making music with a program called Cubase and of cause using other windows programs, FPS gaming (battlefield 2141, Crysis...and games like that.), video editing in Sony Vegas (which can contain dark information.) But basically, I'm not looking at much black over a day. Personally though, I'm not happy about getting a monitor based on how much black you look at, if you know what I...
Boyd1972: Just bought a new 968 printer and the optional duplex unit, but I can't get the printer to print duplex automatically, when I select 2-sided printing, the dropdown box remains greyed out, when printing I have to manually feed the paper back in, whcih defeats the purpose of purchasing the duplex unit. Anyone any ideas on what is required to fix this problem? Thanks Yes. You need to have...
Hi Rick, No luck getting communication going through the network. I just need to get away from this for a while.....maybe see if someone in the 'Burgh who knows more than me can stop by sometime. I'm exhausted, need to get back to work for the week tomorrow, and just gotta have a break. Thank you again for ALL YOUR HELP. You certainly got me farther than I was on my own!!...
Some more info...when the monitor is unplugged from the PC and I turn the monitor on, the color test box appears. it states Auto Detect...self test feature and the 4 color bars - the screen then goes blank, but the blue light (on light) stays in the blue mode. any ideas?
