I have alot of updates, but most are from the 66 stocker. Will probably be a month or so before I start installing the 4.3 into the 69. Getting ready to start body work on the 66 right now so I can get it painted.

Getting ready to pull engine out of 69 and place into 66.

Cherry picker hooked and ready to go. Thought I'd save some time and just pull the whole engine/tranny/t-case out as one unit.

Bad idea.

Really bad idea! Transfercase got all hung up, weight shifted on the chain and the engine went verticle, transfercase was on the ground. The headers were hung up on the front right motor mount, and the t-case was all hung up on the rear left mount. I ended up cutting the headers off with a sawzal, and seperating the t-case from the tranny while hanging in this position. Good times!

Working on 2 rigs at the same time is prety fun though.

Cleaned and painted the 66 engine bay/frame/axle/etc.

Bringing the engine outside to degrease before installing.

It looks more orange than red to my eye, is it just a camera/computer thing or is it really orange?
