Thread: Project X Flighted 6.5...what swing speed?

Started 2 months ago by live4golf
What swing speed am I looking at for Project X Flighted 6.5's? Anyone got them? I have a Driver SS of around 110MPH when swinging within myself. I believe my 6 iron SS was around 95MPH, but that was a long time ago so I may be a bit off. Thoughts?

IMHO I wouldn't entertain 6.5's unless i was averaging 280 off the tee. I reckon i would avg 260 off the tee and i use regular. What are other peoples thought on this? i would say 5.5 or 6.0 for you but i don't know a lot

If I was averaging 280 off the tee I would be playing on the tour. That is huge. 260 is also huge. But from what I have read about you live4golf I reckon you could play these. But as always the proof is in the pudding. Anyway you can hit them before you buy? What kind of ballflight do you like ect?

So the full story is I just bought a set of R7 TP irons with PX 6.5 shafts...they were a good deal and I want to try the R7's. I have PX6.0's in my X20 Tours, KBS Tour 6.0 in my Mizuno MP-62's and a set of loose TT DG S300 shafts that came with my Mizuno's. I can't find a lot of info on 6.5's, I can hit the 6.0's fine but like most I am getting fatter and older so I imagine I'll probably end...

Great googily moogily. I am not the shortest hitter, but an average of 260m is pumping it out there!

LOL. Mate, I agree with you! I don't like it myself. When I joined the forum I gave it two seconds thought. I have an TM itsy bitsy putter and love it. Was the best I could come up with. Have been meaning to change it cause no one likes spiders. I empty the spray can on them before I even go near the buggers. Maybe I should start a thread for a new name for me. What do you think about cuddles, cardigan wearer, puppies.... Anyhow, I am...

If you have them, why don't you use them for a few weeks and see how you go. I'm not a long driver and don't have a very high swing speed but the my 6.5s are great. I don't get much if any loss in distance. Just have more control/
