Sounds like you need to speak to an IT specialist. They will be able to help you setup a network enviroment as your described. Just make sure that you get decent equipment and not some half baked stuff otherwise you will end having more frustrations than anything else.

I'd be interested to see Revit running in this environment -- how fluidly will it run?
