Thread: Progesterone Level Help please! Stories welcome!

Started 2 months, 3 weeks ago by Ferret Mommy
So, I got my results back from my 20dpo drawl... and the progesterone came back at 9.6. I started 100 mg compounded progesterone supps last night and will take them twice a day till 13 weeks. I shouldnt be stressing over this... right?? I am trying not to, but now I think this is the reason why we had the m/c in June and I am trying to remain calm. Stories please!!

Please do not stress!!! Mine came back at 6.3 and I was put on 50 mg 2x a day until 8 weeks (i kept taking them through 12 weeks though; 10 wks full time and e/other day 1x a day through 12 wks-- yes i self medicated bad i know!!!) and am now 14w4d and baby seems to be doing very well. I think now that you know and they have you on the prog suppositories you will be just fine

My progesterone level was only around 18 after my first beta. I started prog suppositories in addition to my daily PIO shot and it immediately went up to around 40 the next week and then 60 something the next week. That did the trick for me! Thinking positive thoughts for you

Thanks! The reason I am trying to not stress is due to the m/c I had in June. That is the ONLY reason they wanted to run the beta and progesterone... now I am happy they did! I have been reading as much as I could find and I am starting to feel better.. but yesterday was torture! I was feeling like AF was coming and then I got that news.. so it was alittle scary. Cramping feeling... ...

Ferret- If it helps most ppl cramp throughout a good portion of the 1st trimester

Ferret Mommy replied 2 months, 3 weeks ago
Kim, it was the same feeling that started before my m/c... I had cramping with DS, but it was different. But what matters is that slight back ache is gone and hopefully will not come back with AF cramps..

Oh gotcha. Well I hope that feeling stays away FAR, FAR away!!!

Just keep breathing in and out Kat. The first trimester is certianly nerve wracking. I'm crossing everything for you and praying you will see that little flicker in a couple of weeks!

Thanks Gals! Sara... I am doing better the more I go potty and see nothing!! The low results are from Monday.. so I just wonder how much lower they got.. thats why the cramping started to panic me after hearing the numbers!! But all good right now.. I welcome any other preg issue.. as long as the baby is safe and healthy... and stays put till May!

Falling progesterone can be sign of impending miscarriage, but if the progesterone level is low and consistent, it's not so bad. My first 2 pregnancies ended in miscarriage, and my progesterone level consistently fell with each blood draw, even with supplementation 3x/day. I'm currently 34 weeks and with this pregnancy my progesterone never went above 11, and that's with PIO injections and Crinone 2x/day. The difference was...
