Started 1 month, 4 weeks ago by skwisgaar
Mac: 2.53GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, 4GB ram Mac Mini TV: Panasonic TH-42PX80u (purchased in mid-2008) My mom needed a computer, so I gave her the 2 GHz Mac Mini I'd been using with my Panasonic 42" plasma for the last six months. Since I'd grown accustomed to having a mini with Plex on my TV, I ordered the latest and greatest mac mini earlier this week and got it in on Friday. I ...

Are you booting up the TV first or the Mini first? My friend had an RCA that was exhibiting a simialr problem where the Mac had to be turned on first, but this solution only lasted a few days until the TV stopped worknig with his mini altogether. Try using the TV without the Mini for a few days and see if the TV boots up without any issues or the 10 blinks. Maybe try plugging in the Mac ...

Well, the TV has been working fine since I unplugged the mac mini. So I guess it's good to know that the TV is OK. Now I just need to figure out the best way to connect the mac mini to it without revisiting the "10 flashes" problem.

I had the same problem and found a discussion on the AVSForums regarding this issue on the Panny plasma sets. The way I understand it is that the DVI-HDMI adapter cable does not pass the ...

I've been using a Mini-DVI to HDMI adapter that I got from Monoprice. Would a Displayport to HDMI adapter work better than this?

I had the blink problem when I used a mini-DVI to HDMI adapter. The problem disappeared when I switched to a mini-displayport to HDMI adapter. _________________ Cheers, Don in Chicagoland

Thanks. I know I have a mini-displayport to HDMI adapter around here somewhere (it seems like I'm ordering something from Monoprice every month!) I'll try your suggestion.
