Hey All,     I was wondering if anyone has had any success trying to migrate a Lotus Team Room to a SharePoint (or MOSS) Team Site. I've tried the free Application Transporter 2006 (seems like it only works for WSS 2.0?) and I can find my TeamRoom.nsf, but when it comes time to pick a SharePoint site, the "Pick SharePoint List" button is greyed out. (Am I doing something wrong here?) I have ...

Hello John, have you tried some 3'rt party tools? Quest has a great tool for migrating notes to SharePoint: http://www.quest.com/notes-migrator-for-sharepoint / and AwePoint: http://www.avepoint.com/products/sharepoint-migrat ion/lotus-notes-migrator Cheers,

Hey Daniel,    Thanks for your reply. I have seen both these products, but I'm trying to not spend the (cough) $10k+ that they cost. I also don't want to write one myself either, which kind of puts me in a bind, doesn't it? Now I do understand they need to make money as well, especially these days, but what I'm doing isn't that special, or maybe it is?    I'm starting to think I'm going to have ...

Hey All,    After much hunting around and looking for a solution to htis, I think we're going with the AvePoint solution. I was trying to avoid having our Admins getting involved in this (long story), but I think we can use the tool enough to keep them out of trouble. If anyone has a better way, I'm all ears. Thanks, John.

It is now the 1st of May and the problem is happening again.  This is a huge problem, is there a fix for it? When I first open the calendar in calendar(month) view it seems normal, but when I goto next month all of the appointments not in the first week disapear.

I am also facing exactly same issue - for June 1, 09. All the items appearing on June 1 do not show up in the monthly calendar view. Does anyone know how to fix this issue?

Clicking RESOLVE button results in the attached error.  This is an active database and don't want to lose the content.  Any help is appreciated!!! Thanks! S   Server Error in '/' Application. If it's a bug in a template, what's it doing here (in the Workflow forum)? Moving to General as I presume this is an Application Template.

Hey, just wondering if you ever found a solution to this? I'm investigating the same issue.

The part of the forum post that Ashok gives the URL of which is relevant is that starting about halfway down where ISA server first gets mentioned. The final post in the entire thread is the only one that gives a definite answer so I'm quoting it (it was very short) here (quote from a post by Avi Kumar) "I worked with my network person and Noticed that If I remove the SSL redirect option from ISA and use url directly with https,...

Ofcourse, Althought what you explained above is exaggerated and little unclear for me. Yes, the user who is able to access the sharepoint calendar via, outlook or direclty will be able to do it again. untill unless you go and take away/change  the user permissions. I am not clear with : " Within outlook if I select "Share companysharepoint calendar" and email to the end users who will have access to this....

I think the biggest thing is understanding how to package and scope features.  Writing Timer Jobs and Event Handlers also can represent a nice challenge. I guess the roadmap would be something like:  - Customizations with XSLT via the browser  - Developing Web Parts  - Developing Web Parts, Forms, .net Workflows etc and deploying as a feature  - Event Handlers  - Timer Jobs Hope that helps

Hi,   As a test can you download the patch for Windows. Apply it on a machine and see if this does it. http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=17C36612-632E-4C04-9382-987622ED1D64&displaylang=en Liam

Did you edit the web.config file?  You'll need to tell the web app it's using a proxy.  <system.net>       <defaultProxy>          <proxy usesystemdefault = "false" proxyaddress=" http://proxyservername " bypassonlocal="true" />       </defaultProxy>    </system.net>  Also see this...

Hi Steve,   I am afraid Blackberry is not officially supported by Microsoft, see Mobile browsers and devices that are supported in Windows SharePoint Services 3.0 and in SharePoint Server 2007 ( http://support.microsoft.com/KB/930147 ) for more information.   I have never configured Blackberry integration with SharePoint. Therefore, I Bing the key word “ SharePoint NTLM blackberry ” and it look there are lots of issue on this. If...

Hi phorion,   In SharePoint, it is by design that you cannot edit the metadata fields when upload multiple documents. I suggest you use “Edit in datasheet” option to edit these metadata fields after the documents are uploaded. This is the easiest way to change the metadata for multiple documents. You can also try to rewrite the upload.aspx page programmatically: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc713554.aspx After that you can use...

Ok, I see what you mean. SharePoint/MS Office have some built-in features that try to prevent multiple users from editing the same document at the same time. So multiple users can have the same document open at once, but only one will be able to save changes to the document. If a user tries to save over a document that another user has locked for editing, they should get a message telling them that they can't save their changes. Paul.
