i agree with you musclebite. i saw all 3 in theater too and don't remember any of it either except some cheesy lines that made everybody laugh and pretty landscapes. no scene that has moved my soul enough to remember it. i guess the vast majority of people who love this movie love it only because it's faithful to the book which may be great, but if we haven't read it the movie's tasteless and empty

To be honest, you'd need to have read the first two books to find anything in Return of the King. Tolkien is very in-depth, and you can't just jump into the third book in the trilogy. Still, Lord of the Rings isn't for everyone. You just may not be the type who fancies it.

I'm curious. What made you wake up this morning and think... "You know that movie I saw 5 and a half years ago. I didn't like that movie. I think I'll go to imdb, find its board and tell everybody I didn't like it." I've shared both likes and dislikes about a movie just after seeing it, but never 5 and half years later. It tends to fall into dim memory by that time.

If the OP had read the book, (or was even just a well-read person) he/she may have understood the exactness of the language, the scope and enormity of the story. Sorry if it bored him, but try to find a film you do like and stick to that thread instead.
