The Palm pre will not play DRM protected files. m4p are DRM protected.

Ok, I need to confirm a hunch.  I have a PRE with 1.3.1 software.  Synced my Itunes with it and when I tried to playback, I noticed some songs didn't play.  It didn't matter if I purchased them from Itunes or not.  Some purchased songs played and some didn't.  After looking into it further, I looked at details for all the songs downloaded.   The songs that played:   m4a   The songs that didn't:  m4p   I...

As it turns out, that was a temporary fix. The same problem persists.

I suggest anyone interesting in trying this take several minutes to read the entire thread. The testers seem to have had a lot of problems in the messages on the linked page and the page that follows...

Looks like we was able to find some additional information. Those reporting the issue please see if you have an application called PhotoWall PhotoWall saves the pictures in DCIM/999PALM, which is throwing off the Camera app. Workaround: Go to USB Mode Move images from 999Palm to DCIM folder Delete 999Folder

Ok I got this working... the sound-juicer line for the .m4a type should be:    audio/x-raw-int,rate=44100,channels=2 ! faac profile=2 bitrate=192000 ! ffmux_mp4   (note the profile=2 bitrate=192000 section - see the following link for more info http://ubuntuforums.org/archive/index.php/t-1112334.html

Same here. I have video that played fine until I updated to 1.3.1. Now I get the "There was an error playing this file." I've tried to delete and re-load but, I get the same message.
