Thread: Powerdyne superchargers with upgrades

wow....good feedback. thing is i got my bd11a free from another friend, but the internal belt has broken. so i was thinking, i'm just take the plunge and do the extreme powerbuild from 928 for the 1st time, then just maintain it from there. but i'm looking to use this BD11A with a DD car. i'll just be boosting at 5-6 psi, nothign great. just to get a bit of kick outta it. so should be ok ...

Hey, I did the Super powerdyne rebuild from 928 motorsports 2 weeks ago. I can say it will give you more boost. I had problems with my powerdyne before i sent it top them, like the internal belt breaking the impellershaft had bent itself, impeller scraping against the housing. So i figured that this will help. But unfortunetly <-spelling? it didn't work for me. I still have the problems ...

Hey, I did the Super powerdyne rebuild from 928 motorsports 2 weeks ago. I can say it will give you more boost. So sell your Powerdyne then,becsuae you will always have belt issues.

Rebuild the unit yourself. I did a writeup on it. Its pretty simple and only takes a couple hours. The ceramic bearing rebuild kit from 928 Motorsports is $250. If you don't want to jump to the ceramic bearings, you can source the steel bearings for &lt;$60 for all 4. A machine shop could vent it for you or you could do it yourself if you have a drill press. I'm running 9psi and my car sees a lot of track duty. My unit is vented...
