Anyone know have information about the DC power feeds that is now being offered on the Patriot?

My understanding is that they are stepper motors and a controller with a selector switch for changing from x, y and z axes. This has some real advantages over the gear driven style, as you can now vary the feeds independent of the spindle and no longer need to run the lathe motor for power feed on the mill. Thanks for the info sharpshooter.I did my own vfd mod on the patriot and I really like that.I've away from a machine shop for over 40 years so it may take me awhile to catch up.
