Thread: Power Window Problems, Help (drivers sides, not passenger)

Hey kids, need a little help. Over the weekend my drivers side controls went out for the power windows. The passenger window will roll up and down but only with the passenger controls. The drivers controls will not roll up/down either side so I am stuck with the drivers window down. Checked the fuses behind the coin tray and they are all good, the "Auto" LED on the drivers control still ...

I would assume the viper would just be installed in parallel to the motor drive. There are separate fuses for each of the motors, and the passenger (and rear, if applicable) work of off a different circuit due to the auto down on the drivers front. So, I would suspect drivers motor or drivers switch, if you checked the fuses with a meter. Checking them with your eye won't always do the job...

Push the window lock button on the drivers side and then try to operate the passenger window from the passenger side. If the window still works with the window lock on, then chances are that the entire window switch is disconnected. If so you need to reconnect the drivers side under the door panel.

The next step is to spend the weekend with the meter checking circuits. Anyone else have a good approach?
