Thread: Posture is lost pre-impact - standing-up at impact

Started 4 months ago by snake
Hi, Hope someone can help. I've been cutting the ball lately. When I saw my swing on video it appears that I lose my posture and stand-up a bit at impact causing me to cut across the line. Any drills etc to help ? Cheers Snake

I was doing this and probably still do sometimes. I found this was because of a lateral hip slide instead of turning the hips. Filming your swing would probably help a lot in diagnosing why you are standing up at impact.

My "pro" found out that my problem was that I was more concerned in where the ball was going before impact & I would "top the ball" by attempting to rush to my final stance just before point of impact. His resolution ( and when I do it right, it works ) : ...
