I'll have to throw up a picture when I get time. I don't have a stock comparison though.

Update: Refinished my fogs with 1500 and 2000-grit sandpaper from Advanced Auto (Lowes doesn't carry it, FYI, and I suspect Home Depot doesn't either). Took a good half an hour for the clear coat and yellow Tamiya paint to come off each lense with the 1500, after which I did a brief polish with the 2000. Then I covered each with some thick Lamin-X and installed the Nokyas. Result: (With ...

Looks like mine. The Nokya's suck don't they? Not bright at all! I'm thinking a pair of 3000k 55w HID ballasts and bulbs from ddmtuning. $100 and it's like 10,000x more light supposedly.

They looked bright enough last night, but I haven't driven with them yet. You shouldn't have bought tinted bulbs if you wanted something uber bright, though. Modified by STEC06 at 5:05 PM 11-10-2009

Yeah true that. I thought they were 70w however which is a blatant lie because when you look on the side of the bulb it says 55w. I didn't even look when installing them and just thought meh...

I believe 70w would melt our housings, correct me if I'm wrong. Can someone explain why you would use Nokya bulbs with lamin x? Nokya bulbs are already yellow enough.. and their 55w bulbs are bright enough already

I've run 85/100 watt H4 bulbs before but that was in a 6" housing for my MK2's lights. I ran 100 watt H1 bulbs on the inner 4" lights though and those are pretty small. I had an upgraded wiring loom with relays straight off the alternator though, 400 ...

I drove at night for the first time with the Lamin-X/Nokya combo. It's pretty sweet! Casts an interesting light in front of the car and the light scatters to the sides well (not sure that's good?). (The moose-danger is prevalent in Maine, as well, particularly in Northwest Maine...****ers run out into the road all the time and during the winter they kneel down in the middle of the road to lick the salt at night/early morning.)...
