> About 14C on J1 and computer said the same on the Ramsden, but it felt colder. Three out of 4 of us dived twice in semi drys and its passable. The Prom the week before was much the same. I dived only once a day leading up to the Prom Cup weekend, but its warm enough now to do 2 in a semi dry unless you are W.as.P.

I'll amend it to ..."unless your as W. as P. or recently moved here from somewhere far, far warmer like SE Qld, or you forgot to take your Chopper Read...

> Its probable the divers reporting high teen temps are shore divers, and the ones saying 14-15 deg are boat divers. We snorkeled Lonsdale reef today and Mary was in a 3mm for over 4 hours, and never got cold! If you are diving the deep reefs or wrecks, stick to your drysuit for another month. If you are diving shallow sites go for the summer suit, and if you are ...

But I won't go into details so as to not make you feel bad about missing it I nearly changed my mind just after I left, but had some early starts and late finishes lately so was running low on zzzz. Harden the F*** up pills Didn't really help with the temperature but certainly made it more difficult to get out of the wetsuit! If you are taking them how have you got the time or energy to even put your wet suit on? Feeling a little light headed from the pills are we burn??

The outside air temp is a big factor for me getting out of the drysuit! When it is 30 C or more I get so hot inside the drysuit that I am just about ready to collapse. And I get so sweaty inside it that it can barely be called a a "dry" suit anymore.

> Hi Saspotato, I think I spoke with you. I asked you did u see the Tasselled anglerfish etc! U were with two guys! I was there with my semi regular buddy! Small world! And no I didn't see the TAF but still a good dive! I found a rare invertebrate but could I get a decent pic... NO! Day dives - I think a permit system ( ) is required now! Ha! Simon

> Because a drysuit is so much easier to slip on rather than pulling on a wetsuit. You can stay down for longer, not get cold and get back in the water again for second dive without a reduction in core temperature. It can improve gas use. For twin tank diving (or any diving) it gives you redundant buoyancy. We dived up at Moreton Island with water temps of 21 degrees. After the first couple of dives the wetsuit people had the shivers and...
