Out of a Sig P230 9x18 Ultra. A) 90 gr. GDHP/1075 fps; B) 95 gr. XTP/ 1075 fps; C) 100 gr. TC/ 1030 fps; D) 110 gr. LRN with a lovely heart shape/ 1050 fps; E) 124 gr. FMJ/ 1020 fps. Trying to be as considerate as possible. Penetration is not an issue.
I just attended a class which among many topics talked about tactical anatomy. One story was about a NARC team doing a no knock warrant. First guy through the door encountered a young teenage banger with a gun. Long story short the kid took two shotgun blasts of 00 buck (the first of which destroyed his heart) and two bursts from an MP 5 before he was neutralized. He still continued to fight for ...

I'll not question 'az4783054' on expansion of that round - his chest was there on the scene. He had no vest, so I'm presuming he had on a uniform that was maybe winter-dress? Summer jacket? Starbucks apron? Quite ...

It was fun browsing, but I soon found the Ammo page. And they have 22s advertised, Federals, too. In 2200 round boxes (now thats what I call a bulk pack.) The problem being they wanted $83+ change for them. They even had a big balloon with "Less than 4 cents a round!" Wonderful. Until the last election, I could buy 550 bulk packs for $13.47 each. It was less than 2.5 cents per pack. ...

Are they gonna sell it by phone for what ever the customer is willing to pay? All the rifle and shot gun ammo has prices but the pistol ammo is all POR. Sure.. Because price and availability changes so quickly. Go to their website;...
I have a used P226 coming tomorrow, and went to a Wal-Mart this morning. They had 5-100 round boxes of the WW white box at $27.97. There were a few of the 9mm and .45 also. I almost couldn't buy it because the key wouldn't open one display case. I had the sales man open the one next to it and I reached in and was able to get my hand on 2 boxes.

Much better for use in an appartment/house, etc. Hornady 5.56 75gr TAP (red box) is cream of the crop. +1. Just check out drywall penetration test at The Box o' Truth ...
Yeah ruger I thought so too. I hope for his argument he wasn't though. I don't know if there is a misconception between the ballistics between .22 and .223, but the two are not created equal. I really don't see how anyone well versed in firearms could confuse the two. Anyway in case anyone is wondering... .22LR 38gr (2.5g) HP = 1,260 ft/s; 134 ft•lb .223 36gr (2.3g) JHP = 3,750 ft/s; 1,124 ...
never having had to shoot through a car for " real " I would shoot through the glass, because of all the other mechanisms inside the door. I guess the door isn't too good for cover, more concealment, but it beats nothing. this can be an interesting read... http://www.theboxotruth.com/docs/buickot3.htm
http://www.dia.mil/publicaffairs/Foia/smcal_vol1.pdf Swedish headstamp is 070. Probably Ammunitionsfabriken Karlsborg. 81 vintage. If you don't want it, I'll take it. Will you pay for shipping?

If 75fps makes the 9mm better, well then, w/ the right designed bullet, another 150fps above that should get...

Berry's plated bullets (124gr bought in bulk), AA#7 powder (bought in 8lb kegs), Winchester primers (bought 20,000 at once), free brass. I get the powder and primers wholesale.
There's no good reason from the standpoint of material costs. Less popular cartridges are made in smaller quantities, though, and that drives up things like overhead costs. We see much greater price discrepancies when we get into the really exotic stuff. I'm sure that many retailers also raise the prices of less popular loads because once they're ordered there's less chance they will move right away. Of course, that can be...
